Coldplay. Elton John. And of course, The Beatles. When it comes to yellow, pop music’s got it covered. And it was the sunny, summery pop of the late -60s that provided the inspiration for the dial of the brightest C60 Trident Lumière yet.

There’s no doubt this is a big release for lume fanatics (we see you!), which is why our board’s decision to make it a limited edition of 300 doesn’t really make sense.

As with the original, this Lumière boasts chamfered indexes made from Globolight® – a revolutionary luminous ceramic – but this time they’ve been placed on a ‘Submarine Yellow’ dial that delivers even more brightness.

The watch’s 41mm Light-catcher™ case is crafted from Grade 2 titanium – which has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal – and has been designed to sit flat on the wrist. As well as delivering water-resistance to 300m, the case contains a helium release valve that will protect your watch on ascents.

Thanks to the thin profile of the movement, the case is just 10.85mm in height – making it our slimmest ever dive watch. Meanwhile the titanium bracelet has an increased taper down to 16mm (from 22mm) and boasts a micro-adjustment mechanism so you can change its fit on the go.

The Trident Lumière Limited Edition is powered by a chronometer-certified version of Sellita’s SW300-1 automatic calibre, whose decorated rotor you’ll be able to see through the exhibition case back. Not only is the movement ultra-accurate, but it also gives you a 56-hour power reserve.

The sum of this innovation, experimentation and ambition isn’t just the most beautiful dive watch Christopher Ward has ever made, but the brightest one, too.

Sellita SW300-1 COSC Automatic

Launched in 2008, Sellita’s 25-jewel SW300-1 automatic movement is one of the most respected calibres in Swiss watchmaking. At 25.6mm in diameter and with a height of 3.6 mm (one millimetre less than the SW200-1), it has a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and boasts a power reserve of 56 hours. Seen as an alternative to ETA’s 2892-A2 calibre, the SW300-1 can be customised with various complications, including date, monophase, and GMT functions.

This chronometer version has been tested by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, in a number of positions and temperatures to ensure precision timekeeping.
